East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT)

They can attend a school to EVIT tour. They can go to the Spring EVIT Expo, (see EVIT.edu for details.) They can also create an account and take an assessment at MyFutureAZ.

EVIT Spring EXPO will be on January 31, 2026 at the EVIT Main campus from 9am -1pm.  Address 1601 W. Main St., Mesa, AZ 

Most students attend EVIT after sophomore year.  Most programs have a two-year curriculum.  However, there are some extended-day, year-long programs that allow for a senior start time.

During the application process, a student will select a preferred campus location.  Program availability and specific desired programs can determine the campus location.  Ex. Aviation is only offered at the Power campus. 

Students who attend EVIT will earn 1.5 credit per semester, unless they are in a block 4 hour class, then they earn 2 credits per semester. 

The following classes from EVIT will count as full-year science credits: MC19 Intro to Medical Assistant, MC29 Intro to Nursing Assistant, MC37 Intro to Emergency Medical Technician, MC38 Intro to Physical Therapy, MC39 Intro to Occupational Therapy Aide, and MC59 Intro to Dental Assisting. 

There is NO fee to attend EVIT.  However, some programs have a supply, uniform, exam or fight time fee.  Costs and fees are minimal compared to other private programs. If a fee is a concern, contact EVIT for assistance.

Students who attend EVIT will spend half their school day at EVIT and the other half at Hill Academy, or vice versa.  Students will focus on core requirements at Hill and take career path electives at EVIT.  Credits earned at EVIT will count towards graduation requirements.

Students will need to check with their individual coach regarding practice and game times, to make that determination. 

Students will need to request a home school verification form to excuse them from EVIT. Parents need to call the EVIT attendance office to inform EVIT of their student’s absence due to testing at the home school. 

If testing is not required, the student will attend EVIT as usual.  Please note, some testing dates may require all students not testing to be off campus.  The cafeteria may  be closed for service.  Students should check with their teachers for testing procedures during these times.

If a program has an early morning 7am start time or a late afternoon 4pm end time, transportation to and from EVIT will be a family responsibility.  Below is the Hill bus schedule for standard/non-extended hour programs.

 Parents will need to drop their student at Hill or (Chandler Early College - Power Cosmetology AM program) if they attend an AM program.  Parents should also note PM EVIT students will arrive at Hill after 3:10 and parents will need to make arrangements to pick up their student to get them home.

Yes, if they meet one of the following qualifications:

• Seniors who wish to continue enrollment at EVIT, may complete the last year of a two-year program at EVIT tuition free.  EVIT teachers and counselor will be speaking to student during quarter 4 to secure a spot for the following year.  
• Arizona high school graduates may enroll in EVIT tuition free for an In-Demand Industry Funded (I-DIF) program.  Interested students must enroll the following year after high school graduation.  See Hill counselor or EVIT liaison for details.
• EVIT also provides adult learners enrollment via the Adult Basic Education Program.  Click here.
